As all Malaysia tax payer notice that there was an announcement by the government on 1% tax rate deduction of chargeable income bracket group between RM35k-RM50k and above RM250k respectively. This deduction with taken effect from year of assessment 2008.
On my previous post mentioning additional benefits that been announced during budget 2009.
http://jlim16.blogspot.com/2009/03/pain-in-my-pocket-year-of-assessment.html
"the Government has also reduced the tax rate by 1% from 13% to 12% for the RM35,000 to RM50,000 chargeable income bracket group; and 1% from 28% to 27% for the RM250,000 highest chargeable income bracket group."
However, from many of my friends also notice that there is no 1% tax rate deduction for tax payer fall under the mentioned chargeable income bracket group, which mean it is still maintain as 13% instead of 12% as promised.

In the e-borang (http://www.hasil.org.my/), tax payer are unable to make modification of the tax rate, it is calculated automatically by the system and we have no where to raise the complaint.
Although it is only 1% reduction (a.k.a RM150), that is still our money that we are promised to have discounted by the respective government department.
The question is, are they going to break their promise "again" ?
